Start with what you have.

A site introduction can start before the facility exists. Share the facts you can confirm, and identify what still needs to be developed. Nawa can then assess the engineering and commercial path.

Location & site control

Send a map pin, usable area, photos and the owner’s details. Explain whether you own, lease, have an option on, or can introduce the site.

Useful evidence: site plan, title or lease summary.

Deliverable power

State the MW available to this project today, the expansion path and the earliest energization date. Identify the utility or generation source and the full electricity cost.

Useful evidence: utility letter, capacity agreement, tariff and electrical one-line.

Fiber & infrastructure

Identify nearby carriers, their physical routes and any work needed to reach the site. Describe existing switchgear, substations, cooling and water availability.

Useful evidence: carrier route map, service quote and equipment schedule.

Buildability & timing

Outline zoning, permits, flood exposure, delivery access and any noise or emissions constraints. Include the proposed land or power terms and who can authorize the project.

Useful evidence: permit status, access plan and a dated delivery schedule.

Make the power figure specific. Tell us how much capacity can be allocated to this project and when. Include existing site demand and any curtailment conditions so we can assess the usable supply.

What the site needs to support.

Use these selected infrastructure requirements to assess the build. An early land or power introduction can identify a path to them; readiness is confirmed during technical diligence.

Full-load operation
Power must support the entire installation at full demand.
Facility standard
Tier III minimum; N+1 generators, UPS and cooling.
Backup supply
Generator start ≤30 seconds; contracted fuel replenishment with response <24 hours. UPS covers transfer; batteries require fire separation.
At the rack
Paired power distribution units; 208 V, with 415 V accepted for dense or liquid-cooled installations.

N+1: enough equipment to serve the load with one unit unavailable.

Cooling & spaceMatch the facility to the chosen hardware
Thermal capacity
Cooling must handle peak heat, with N+1 resilience and separated hot/cold airflow. Air or liquid cooling is supported; immersion is excluded.
Rack density
Air: ≥30 kW/rack; 60 kW preferred. Liquid: up to approximately 240 kW/rack, matched to equipment.
Site layout
Allow contiguous equipment space, loading access and secure staging. Modular facilities may be reviewed.

Share the available footprint; Nawa sizes the layout after reviewing equipment, setbacks and site conditions.

Fiber & connectivityTwo routes, with capacity to scale
Resilient connections
At least two physically separate internet paths, automatic failover and redundant firewalls.
External bandwidth
At least 200 Gbps total (2 × 100 Gbps), or 125 Mbps/GPU if greater. Above 256 nodes, capacity is negotiated.
Latency & traffic
Round-trip latency below 50 ms to AWS S3 or Cloudflare R2. Unmetered, unrestricted ingress and egress.
Carrier mix
Cogent plus another Tier-1 carrier.

Ask carriers for physical route drawings and delivery dates. Two service contracts can still share the same conduit.

Access & operationsA secure, maintainable environment
Support
Remote hands around the clock; first response within 30 minutes.
Access & protection
Controlled entry, access logs, secure vestibule and early smoke detection; 24/7 staffing or NOC coverage and operator access.
Assurance
SOC 2 Type II, PCI-DSS and ISO 27001 are required.
Inspection & acceptance
Facilities must allow inspection. Equipment undergoes validation and sustained-load testing before acceptance; service levels are contractual.

Nawa’s site introduction brief, informed by SF Compute’s Cluster Requirements v1 [2] and the linked Colocation Requirements v1 [1], effective July 7, 2026. Selected requirements only; consult both specifications for complete technical scope.

The facility document lists continental US/Canada and indicative lease terms as reference information, not pass/fail criteria. Confirm location and terms for each project.

The introduction checklist is Nawa’s diligence request. A site submission starts a review; customer acceptance and any commercial commitments require separate agreement.
