    New substation headroom around the Bay is spoken for years out. An energised service is the scarce thing. Compute placed here sits inside the latency envelope that voice and interactive workloads need.

    Sri Lanka

    100 MW Wind

    The north-west coast runs 8 to 9 metres per second at hub height, and the island's wind capacity sits there for that reason. Transmission out of the region has not kept pace with what the turbines can produce, so generation gets curtailed when the lines fill. A load placed at the generation draws power the grid cannot move.

  • Undisclosed

    Kazakhstan

    100 MW Grid

    Kazakhstan holds surplus thermal generation. A government framework allocates power to energy-intensive computing at capped tariffs on ten-year terms, and the eligibility rules are written for one large load on one site.

    Türkiye

    Under study Grid and renewables

    Türkiye is drawing hyperscale investment on data-residency demand and a state incentive package for data centres. Installed generation runs near 115 GW. The binding constraint is transmission: the renewables sit in the centre and the east, and the industrial load sits in the north-west. Ankara sits between them.

Why these

The power nobody else can reach.

Every one of these sits outside the markets that hyperscale developers bid into. Some are behind a transmission constraint. Some are in a jurisdiction that wants the load and has written a framework to attract it. Two are small enough to connect in weeks.

A campus cannot follow power to any of them. A unit that ships on a truck can.
